WILSHERE URGES ARSENAL TO SIGN RICE
Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has called on Arsenal officials to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United after the Englishman impressed him during the recent Europa League quarterfinal first leg encounter between the Hammers and visitors Lyon FC of France.
Wilshere said it’s only a matter of time before ex-West Ham United teammate Rice move to a bigger club and he’s hoping that the England international would end up at Arsenal.
Rice has had a very good year after helping England to the final at Euro 2020 last summer. The West Ham United star featured in all seven games for the Three Lions on the way to the final before his team lost to Italy in penalties thus failing to end their trophy drought. England have not won a major tournament since the 1966 FIFA World Cup tournament triumph on home soil.
After a successful summer with England, Rice continued his fine form in the West Ham United midfielder with the team fighting for accolades in both the league and the Europa League. The Hammers are one of the teams fighting for fourth spot in the league and they are in the last four of the Europa League where they will face German team Eintracht Frankfurt who knocked out Barcelona.
