Jack Wilshere declares himself ready for Italy
After managing to come out unscathed from both of the England team’s friendly matches in Miami, Jack Wilshere has admitted that he feels good, he feels fit and is looking forward to take on mighty Italy in the team’s opening group match of the FIFA World Cup.
The Three Lions have spent the last three weeks together, first inPortugal, before returning toSt. George’sParkbefore embarking on a short stay atMiamias they prepare for the heat inBrazil.
The team arrived in Brazil just a couple of days back and Wilshere, who was visiting a sports complex of a local community said that the World Cup fever is well and truly taking hold.
According to Jack Wilshere, the team trained very hard in Portugal, adding that they trained with the extra layers and then the team went to Miami and stepped up the training a bit more.
The Arsenal man went on to add that the team is now feeling good and they have got everything in place, with the cooling systems installed in the dressing rooms which will be of immense help to the team as well.
Wilshere said that the biggest showpiece of football is just around the corner and one can just feel that it will be great once it gets started.
The tournament kicks off on Thursday with the hosts Brazil taking on Croatia in the opening match but Jack Wilshere and his team mates will have to wait a couple of more days before taking on mighty Italy in their first match in the heat of the Amazon basin.
The last time the two teams met, they played out a 0-0 draw at Euro 2012 before England were knocked out on penalties and now, The Three Lions are looking to exact revenge
