Arsene Wenger has dismissed signing Raheem Sterling

Arsene Wenger has dismissed suggestions that the club will be looking to sign Raheem Sterling from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with the gunners in the last few weeks. The recent statements from the two parties also did not help matters either. However, Wenger feels thatSterling would be a signing of no use to Arsenal at the moment since they are already extremely strong in that position.Sterling is capable of playing across the front – even as a striker – and he uses his blistering pace to great advantage.

Sterling said before the 4-1 defeat against Arsenal that he was extremely flattered to be linked with the North London outfit. It has been suggested that these comments just before the match did not help preparations and Liverpool suffered as a result of it. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers refused to criticise the 20-year-old. Instead, he looked at the positives and it wasSterling won the penalty from which Liverpool scored the only goal of the evening. Wenger is now in a strong position after having almost secured Champions League qualification for next season as a result of this victory. It pushes them into second spot ahead of Manchester City. Jack Wilshere onging Injuries troubling him

Jack Wilshere’s ongoing problems with injuries have prevented him from fully realising his potential with Arsenal.

His talent is undoubtedly great, but many will start to question the impact of the 23-year-old should he make only around 20 appearances throughout an entire campaign. Wilshere has featured in only 12 matches in all competitions so far. He has not played for Arsenal since the 2-1 defeat against Manchester United back in November 2014. Arsene Wenger has now revealed that the potential return date for the 23-year-old has been set further behind due to a complication in his recovery.

This will force him to undergo an ankle surgery. Wilshere is likely to return only with a couple of months left in the season. Arsenal may already be out of the running to win major titles by then. The recent 3-1 thrashing home defeat against Monaco in the Champions League has put them on the verge of an exit from the European stage once again. They face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. This remains as the major hope for a title this season. A return of just one goal and one assist is unlikely to make Jack Wilshere a key figure for Arsenal this season. (more…)

Arsene Wenger again backs Jack

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has once again backed Jack Wilshere to come good for Arsenal amidst suggestions that the club should have brought back Cesc Fabregas instead of allowing him to join Chelsea.

Wilshere is regarded as one of the highly talented youngsters of this English generation but his career has been plagued by injuries. The young midfielder has ruled out until the middle of January with yet another injury. Wenger has also witnessed Fabregas continue his impeccable form in the Premier League. He was one of the important players when he left for Barcelona a few years ago. Now, it has already secured 12 assists to his name even before the middle of the campaign. (more…)

Jack Wilshere Nursing His Illness

The Champions League match against Anderlecht is soon coming up but due to  illness Jack Wilshere will not be playing.

Since the time he had a knee injury he has been trying to recover and not been playing. Although he is sick now, the team head Arsene Wenger is expecting Jack’s recovery and for him to get better just before the trip to Swansea for Arsenal. Arsene has been in a fix since Jack is sick and will not be playing. Arsene is not being able to decide if he should start with the man Walcott who too was making a appearance for the first time after his serious injury he had incurred in Burnley in the ligament.

If Arsenal can manage to win over Anderlecht they will have two games to spare and will also seal their qualification to the knock out stages. Arsene believes that even if the team can seal the qualification he will feel that the job has been done and will be very satisfied. He also said that they had a lot of respect for Anderlecht. It was because of the tough game they had put up against them. However, with their quality in the game and the miraculous win they learnt that they had to fight until the last minute of the game. They have also been warned but they hope and expect to be victorious in the other game too that is going to be held at the Emirates.

After their win against Anderlecht they have a record of wining consecutive Barclay’s Premiere League. They had scored well and even defended so well that the other side could not concede any. So let’s see what happens to the battle of Theo Walcott’s injury and Jack Wilshere who has been ruled out of the Champions League game against Anderlecht through illness.
