WILSHERE CONTINUES TO BE LINKED TO ARSENAL
Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere has continued to attract interest from his former side, Arsenal, with the Gunners now on a mission to overhaul their squad. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that he wants to be ruthless this summer when it comes to the handling of transfer activities, as it is expected that a couple of the players will be leaving the London club when the summer transfer window opens for business next month.
Rumors linking the club’s former midfield star Jack Wilshere with a return to the Emirates Stadium have continued to hot up. Wilshere was first linked with a move to Arsenal last summer but as of then, he was a West Ham United player and was still trying to cement a starting spot in David Moyes’s team. But after being released by the Hammers he joined Bournemouth at the end of last season where he has been paying his football since then.
The Cherries are currently one of the clubs on course to gain promotion to the English Premier League from the Championship, and with Arsenal not playing any European competition next season, the midfielder could now have s rethink and remain with Bournemouth instead. It was said that he was eyeing participation in Europe next season but with that no longer in the picture, his Arsenal return could be off the cards.
