WILSHERE SUFFERS INJURY SETBACK

Jack Wilshere injury problems continues as he has suffered a setback from the ankle injury he sustained against Wolves.

The English ace who joined West Ham from Arsenal on a free at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season underwent a minor surgery after picking up the knock.


It is reported that he has suffered inflammation on the ankle and will not be back as earlier suggested. Hammer’s coach Manuel Pellegrini revealed to the press that Jack has suffered a setback and he his feeling pains in his ankle.

Wilshere rose through the ranks at Arsenal and was included in the squad in the 2008-2009 season. He made his senior debut against Black burn Rovers at Ewood Park coming on for Robin van Persie in the 84th minute.

He was sent on loan to Bolton Wonderers in the 2010-2011 season to get more playing times. He made his International debut under Fabio Capello, the Italian, describing him as the future of English football. Injuries and fitness issues have not given Wilshere the opportunity to fulfill his enormous potential.

He suffered a stress fracture ankle injury in the summer leading to the 2011-2012 season and it was believed Wilshere would heal naturally, but after series of scans it was decided he went for surgery. He did not recover on time to play any part in the regular season and subsequently he missed out on the squad for the 2012 summer Olympics in London.

Injuries kept him out for a long period of time, and it was decided he moved on loan in 2016-2017 season, he was sent on loan to Bournemouth. While on loan at Bournemouth he suffered hairline fracture to his left fibula and it was confirmed that he would miss the rest of the season.

Wilshere continued to struggle at Arsenal, and he was finally let go at the end of the 2017-2018 season. He joined West Ham on a free transfer, but his luck has not changed as he has continued to struggle for fitness.
